Advanced diagnostics saves lives.

A completely white and blank image, reminiscent of a pristine canvas in a veterinarian's office.

A tabby cat lies on its side on a veterinary table, looking curious while an ultrasound machine's screen displays an image in the background. The vet gently holds the cat's front paws, which are slightly raised, and its eyes are wide open.

In-House Laboratory

When your pet is sick, our on-site laboratory and advanced imaging equipment can provide critical information that provides a fast, accurate diagnosis.

Our state-of-the-art diagnostic and laboratory equipment allow us to process and analyze various body materials, including blood, urine, and stool, and perform microscopic cytology assessments for ear, tissue, and fluid samples. From routine ear infections to preliminary cancer diagnoses, our in-house laboratory can provide fast answers and accelerate your pet’s time to treatment.

Ultrasound Digital X-rays provide high-resolution, still images of your pet’s internal structures. Unlike traditional film X-rays, digital radiography allows the veterinary team to review and edit the image after being uploaded, decreasing unnecessary radiation exposure. X-rays are the preferred technology for assessing bones, joints, and the lungs. Ultrasonography is an excellent, non-invasive imaging technology that uses harmless reflected soundwaves to provide a dynamic (i.e., moving) image of your pet’s soft-tissue structures. Ultrasound is the preferred imaging method for abdominal organs, pregnancy, and heart assessments (i.e., echocardiography). A vet uses an ultrasound machine to examine a dog's abdomen. The veterinarian, wearing a teal scrub top and blue gloves, works carefully as the dog lies on an examination table in the clinic, with an ultrasound image visible on a monitor in the background. A veterinarian wearing blue medical gloves points at an X-ray of a dog's hind leg with a pen. A blurred image of the dog can be seen in the background.

Endoscopy is a minimally invasive technique where a small flexible camera transmits video images of your pet’s internal organs. Endoscopy may be recommended for conditions affecting the nasal cavity, trachea, esophagus, and the gastrointestinal and urinary tracts.

If further testing or a specialist consultation is necessary, your pet’s blood work results, images, or samples will be forwarded to an external reference laboratory, university, or a board-certified veterinary radiologist for a full review and interpretation.
